Baseline sample: 1x SST Gel tube (6 mL) for Basal Cortisol; 1x EDTA (4 mL) (sent on ice)for ACTH .
If 17-OH Progesterone is requested a Non-gel SST tube must be collected.
60 minute sample: 1 x SST Gel tube.
Short Synacthen Test should be booked with the Chemical Pathologist or Chemical Pathology Registrar.
