Antibiotic-supplemented transport media can be collected from Cytogenetics during business hours (M-F 8am-5.30pm). Use RPMI or sterile media from Cytogenetics stored in specimen reception fridge if Cytogenetics closed. Do not allow the sample to dry out.
Collect aseptically.
Collect x2 skin punches from extant patients.
Collect approx 5mm square (with 2-3mm depth) skin biopsy from deceased patients.
